Contrary to some of the stories I've heard, the "exploding python" was found by a helicopter pilot who works with the park/researchers (not by a national geographic photographer) while taking a professor to or from one of his field sites out in the glades. He checked it out but didn't have a camera so he went back and grabbed one and then came back and took the pics. Everyone jokes that he missed out on making millions from the pics because he used a camera that belonged to the park service (making them public domain). [ Hide Replies ]
