I don't know if they can retain sperm for long... but if so, then she could've been fertilized long ago and laid a fertile egg.



Then again, many lizards lay unfertilized eggs periodically. The female prepares just like a human female and if no egg is fertilized it's still laid, again, just like a human.



Either way, treat the egg as if it's fertile. Mark the top and make sure the top stays up no matter what. You can move it somewhere (check online to see what temps) to incubate it and make sure the air humidity is kept at 90-100%.



I've killed many anole eggs as a child accidentally by not keeping the tops up
