Depending how long the mites have been around, they could definitely be contributed to the weight loss. The quickest way to get rid of mites is completely cleaning the tank and using Provent-a-mite. Don't put any wood back in the tank. Mites live deep in the wood.



Get rid of the mites and she'll most likely return to normal health quickly.
