Thank you...The enclosure is sunny all day until about 4 pm. A lot of it is filtered through some tall trees though. I have hosta's, creeping jenny, begonia, portulaca, sedum, haens and chicks, hardy hibiscus, grape vine, strawberry, a little Rose of Shanen plant, day lillies, petunias, and three different kinds of Hosta, some moss around the water dish. In the back end there is a sort of cave that I made with bricks on each side and on top a long piece of slate. In the hide I put lots of leaf litter and soft compost, so she can dig under. Everything grew and spread out nicely and there are plenty of places for her to hide under. I still bring her in at night. She is only 2 years old, so I don't think I will let her hibernate yet. I used this site for the plants...it is my favorite...and I use it for my Redfoot also http://www.africantortoise.com/edible_landscaping.htm
