It is a Leopard Pastel!

In 2005 we produced some strange het piebalds, pastel het piebalds and spider het piebalds all carring what we call the Leopard gene. Below are some pics of the animals we produced in 2005. The name came from the spiders carring the gene because of the golden color and the black spots.

This is the father of the 2009 Leopard Pastels He is the 1st Leopard Pastel in 2005

Here is a pic of a 2005 Het Piebald carring the Leopard Gene

What we think is happining is 50% of the hets are visually showing a pied pattern with out the white. We do not know why but we have proven that it can be reproduced using one of the het pieds carring the leopard gene of a piebald carring the leopard gene.
