I understand what everyone is saying, however I am glad a respected scientist like Dr. Gibbons is taking on this challenge. This will either prove to everyone that there is nothing to worry about or prove to us they have a point. Having helped Dr. Gibbons in the past do field research and collecting I know first hand how great of a true scientist he really is. HE LOVES SNAKES. We all should be glad that someone paid by PETA or HSUS didn't do this study privately. Will I feel bad if these snakes die, not in the least. If they weren't used for this study, they would have been euthanized by the state of Florida when caught. At least this way they are being useful to science.
