Once they have shelled the egg, I think it is nearly impossible for them to do much reabsorption. I had a similar event with a ratsnake that became egg bound. I ended up inserting a needle through the body wall and extracting as much yolk as possible. This did reduce the size of the eggs, but the female did not pass the smaller eggs and I was sure that I was going to lose her. However about 3 weeks after I had suck out some yolk, she passed the eggs on her own. That was two years ago and she bred and produced a good clutch last year and is still kicking as I write this. I am not suggesting you do this but I just wanted to tell my story. | ||
