It was collected as a hatchling and although it did look a bit different from the norm, there was no indication that it would develope this much orange. I am familiar with the black ratsnakes in this area and have never seen one quite like this. The pic is recent, it is a bit larger than 36" long. Kevin [ Hide Replies ]
