This question relates to housing BP of different sizes in the same cage.
I have a very large glass enclosure that I currently have a 9 month old BP in. He is healthy by all visibly recognizable accounts.
I was recently given a 2 year old, most likely female, BP. I currently have her housed separately in a slightly smaller container. I want to watch her closely for about 30 days. She came from an awesome handler, but I am always cautious.
The large glass enclosure with the smaller BP is currently located in a natural themed room in our home. It stays warm, well lit, and humid. I would really like to introduce the 2nd BP to this environment. Ideally, I would want to house it with my male. I do not intend or have hopes for breeding.
Does anyone see any problems with housing a 2 year old BP with a 9 month old? The 9 month old is strong, but I guess I still have concerns about smothering. Maybe they are unfounded.
What do you think? Would anyone care to share their story of doing something similar?
Fred
