I can't post pics of albino black rats but the solid black black rats are more loacality. Certain areas of the country produce very nice black specimens while other parts produce more patterned specimens.
It's not a recessive like anerythrism.
It seems as if Missouri and Virginia have good black specimens while areas in between, like my area around North Gorgia, North Alabama and Southeast Tennessee have the more patterned specimens.
So, to go along with that it would seem logical that if you breed two black specimens your odds would be much higher to get black babies.
