Tail wagging ????

I just introduced a male to a female that has been off feed for a few weeks and as soon as I put him in there she starting wagging her tail. I cant remember if that was a good thing or a bad thing... Ive been reading so much info for that past few years now im a little confused. Im going to seperate them now, but please let me know your experiences. thanks
