How would this affect hobbyists say from Canada or the UK with captive bred Burms in their collections who either want or must relocate to the US? Does this mean they would have to surrender their existing collection and buy new ones once in the states?
What about the captive breeders who import into the US?
This is just what I think, but S373 goes far beyond just the Burmese python. It includes all Python genra, as everyone knows. Whether senator Nelson intends to ban the interstate commerce and importation of ALL pythons or simply mentioned the Burmese python as his poster-child in his presentation I do not know for sure. I think Andrew and USARK should meet with senator Nelson to determine precisely his intentions.
