Something to consider is placing the tank on its side so the top opening is now the front. A friend of mine did this with a bunch of large tanks and put in sliding glass doors. You can put in a substrate dam behind the track and can also frame out the ends for ventilation.



I have also seen round soffit vents added through holes drilled in sliding glass doors.
