Was this to late to feed

So, on Saturday night I took out a rabbit to thaw, it was done about Sunday night, I put it in the cage. My guy did not eat so I gave him a small rat then tried to make him get the rabbit, well nothing, then this morning at about 4:30 he was firing out at the glass and when I went to get the rabbit out, he deceided to eat it. Just seems like a long time, but I could be wrong, just dont want my guy getting sick.
