From what you said, it doesn't sound like you have done your research on keeping veiled chameleons. They need UVB lights as well as a basking light (the 45 watt) during the day (12 hours per day), and no lights or heatlamps at night.
Depending on the age, veiled chameleons should be kept singly, not in groups. At about age 2 months, they start exhibiting aggression over food and water. Unless you have a large screened enclosure - it is best they be separated.
Chameleons may have no visible ear canal openings, but they can hear loud noises. If your stereo is turned up, and has a lot of bass it CAN bother them. Keep in mind that even deaf people can feel the vibrations of most music.
