Transferring hoppers from one tub to another is always a PITA. They're fast, can actually jump out of my tubs so I end up only moving one or two at a time. Major pita when I have a tub with 40 plus hoppers in it. I usually have two or three like that at a time.

So, I thought up an idea that is working great so far.

First, I have a tall tub large enough to fit the rack tub inside and tall enough they can't jump out.

Second, I cut the top off a 2 litter soda bottle. Right at the tup of the vertical sides before it starts tapering towards the neck. The "Hopper Helper"

To use the Hopper Helper, pull a dirty tub from the rack rapidly and lower into the larger escape proof tub. I find you have a couple of seconds at least before the hoppers start moving.

Once lowered, you can tip the Hopper Helper on it side and scoot in a bunch, or, grab handfulls and load it up a couple of inches deep. Then raise it to a new clean tub and tip over and dump the contents If desired, you can collapse the opening into an oval so the new tub does not have to be pulled very far out. Close the tub and go back for more until all the hoppers and mice are moved to the new tub.
