It's been suggested that my temps of 78 degrees may have been too warm so I will try a lower incubation temp. next time.
Additionally, I had been feeding a primarily rodent diet. I am now varying that, feeding chicks and fish as well.
I have not tried it yet but I have some DOR copper heads in the freezer and will offer them in a few months. I believe snakes are very important to an indigo's diet and most of us never offer these to our animals.
I will be picking up a lot of "fresh" DOR's while road cruising from now on.
As far as the parents being related, the answer is a definite NO.
