I have bred BPs for a few years but I confess that I am not up to date with all the morphs out there (I tend to prefer the heterozygous morphs and still think piebalds are the most interesting). I have an adult pair of het Butterscotch Ghost BPs that produced three animals just like the one pictured last year. Unfortunately I decided to tinker with a new incubator design and the animals were found dead in the egg. There were far too many unknown variables to consider the three animals to be genetic and I eagerly anticipated this year’s breeding trials. I slit eggs on day 51 to observe the soon to be hatchlings and I saw the little guy/girl pictured with this post. The animal is halfway out tonight and I will take more pictures this week.



Is this animal an existing morph? If so what genotype is needed to produce them? Hatching time is always exciting but this takes the cake.

I will post pics of last year’s babies tomorrow.
