I received the pair of adult hets from Terry. She told me you had bred them once previously but didn't mention the strange animal you produced. I have attached pictures of last years babies. I have so many questions about these animals now?

1) Is the male het Butterscotch also het for something (G Stripe?) or maybe co-dom/incomplete dom for something else entirely? I thought we may be dealing with a second simple recessive trait (due my het to het breedings) but it looks like the male may be soley responsible for producing these guys.

2) Is the trait "weak" due to the high number of mortalities? My 2009 animal came out of the egg just as I was leaving for work. It seemed fine (tongue flicking, normal movement, etc) but time will tell. I attributed my losses in '08 due to a new incubator technique (the humidity was very high) but I just don't know.

3) What the heck is going on with these guys????? Guess I will be holding everybody back to keep testing.
