Hey Warren, I posted pics of the clutch (the portion that had hatched) somewhere in this thread. This pairing of BPs tends to give me a hatch length of 53 days on average (at 88-89 F). Last year I did not slit the eggs (in fact I rarely if ever slit eggs before this year) and I waited for all the animals to pip on their own. Needless to say I found the three dead mystery guys around day 60. I revised my thinking on manual egg pipping during a weekend sea turtle trek I helped lead (long story I will tell it to you over a beer someday) and this year I have experienced no problems.
