Nate, I have been doing the same thing, and my D. couperi get very excited over snakes. It is apparent to me they are well designed for ingesting them, quickly! Pituophis, Arizona and Crotalus, (especially sidewinders) are a big hit. Frozen for at least a month...and fed as part of a varied diet. Amazing how instinct expresses intself, i.e. my D. couperi agressively chew and stretch the snake prey, not necessarily so when offered chicks/rodents/fish. They seem to like snakes...vic h.
