Good that they aren't killed but I guess there isn't general policy so it probably differs. Sad they kill the venomous ones though. I'm not sure I'd trust an animal control officer to be able to tell the difference where I live and we have a couple venomous species that are pretty rare... maybe I'll be able to ask them sometime.
