Hello,
Last week I got my first BRB hatchling. He is in a 16qt tub with two hides that are stuffed with some moss. Aspening bedding (i know this isn't recommended ) for the substrate but I'm probably going to switch to paper towels. Warm side around 83 and cool side around 80 with humidity at 88. Well He ate a F/T mouse fuzzy which was great but he didn't strike from my tongs, I had to leave the mouse in the enclosure and he ended up taking it later that night. Ever since then though, he has been staying in his hides and I never see him come out at all, even in the middle of the night. Is this behavior normal? Sometimes i think I have a dead BRB because I hardly ever see him but The only reason i know he's still alive is because i check on him when i'm going to change his water and he's flicking his tongue and moving around. I own ball pythons and they say a happy ball is one that basically hides all day. Is this also true for BRB's?
