the not eating is probably due to the stress of travel, and new surroundings. dont handle or offer food for about a week. let the snake settle in a become as stress free as possible. second, it is more noticable to see eyes moving with the big standout orange eyes of a retic. most snakes (with exceptions of blind snakes, etc) can see and have a degree of peripheral vision by being able to rotate and move their globes (or eyeballs)
