This may surprise a few. One is a little town less than ten miles south of the state of Sonora border called Chimobampo. This is rugged and impovrished areas where the locals still eat them. I have also found them approx. 125 miles north of Mazatlan and inland from the ocean approx 25 miles. Again a very impovrished areas and towns not found on map books. As yellow as they are they can be very dificult to spot. The pectinata has a huge range and I am sure there are other areas with in its range where they exist. What is interesting is less then 50 miles north of where I have seen pectinata's I have seen ctenosaura hemilopha macrolopha. this is just my opinion there needs to be work done on the range of many of Mexico's herps [ Hide Replies ]
