Some litters yes and some litters no. I like to get them eating and growing right away as that seems to set a pattern for them. Good eaters usually stay good eaters and conversely the picky eaters stay that way for years. I do not know why but it seems one litter will be born biting and striking at everything that moves and another litter will be born totally tame and calm. Whether they are biters or calm seems to not make any difference in whether they will eat right off. This litter was all calm and then ate right away. So much we do not know about these animals.
