Hi,

I can tell you from my own personal experience that dropping the temps in the rack should not effect your snakes that you are not breeding. It is the ambient temps in the room that will effect your snakes. Right now I drop my rack temps even during the summer 3 degrees right when the sun goes down. The ambient temp in my snake room is 82 to 86. When winter comes whether I want to or not the ambient temps are going to drop to 75 to 78 and I am going to drop my racks to about 80 to 82 degrees. If there are snakes that are ready to breed in that rack they will stop eating pretty quick. If you were to have growing snakes that where not of maturity or breeding size they would most likely still eat. But if you keep any female in that room or rack that is able to breed I can guarantee she or he will go off feed.

Good Luck,
Bill
