When I was renting I simply didn't mention the snakes to the first land lord as he never came round (even when I wanted him to!). The second I asked before I signed any thing if it was a problem for me to keep pet snakes and it wasn't, despite it saying 'no pets' on the leash. If you explain that they are harmless, clean and kept locked in a secure enclosure that will change alot of peoples minds. If you feed frozen thawed that helps too as live feeding puts people off...
