Any land lord that doesn't allow snakes or even requires an additional deposit is being unreasonable(if they know it or not). It's nice to be able to be honest with your landlord but if they are the type to think that your snakes will be pooping on the floor and chewing up the carpet, I would just not mention them. If it's an apartment where they do mandatory fire and maintenance inspections routinely(while you're not there) then you can throw towels over the cages, put a bunch of pillows under the blankets on the bed to make it look like there is a big guy crashed out and leave the TV on. They will be less nosy if they are trying to avoid waking up a big guy while invading his house. Worked for years for me. | ||
