Thanks. They do get large, but 8' is probably not typical. Jack's father was described to me as a huge male, and he is about 7' long. But they do require large cages, they are active. Yes, they poop a lot compared to boids! As much as I love Jack, it is a pain to clean the tank every 3-5 days due to stinky, loose poop.

You won't be able to get one in Florida. But you could get other members of the Drymarchon genus (Texas indigo, cribos).
