Both those snakes, although are of similar size, have very different natural habits, let alone the possible stress factor that could be an issue. In my opinion, caging two snakes together is NEVER a good idea when it is simple enough to house them separately.
Feeding time too could also lead to big problems, even if fed separately.
The snake's will be MUCH better off if housed separately, and if you can put the carpet python in a somewhat taller cage with a well-secured climbing branch, then that would be even better yet.
