Greetings All,
I have a situation maybe you guys can help. I have a male hognose, '07. I have had him for over a year or so. He was a great eater when i first got him. He ate for 6-7 months without any issues. Always eager to eat and never refuses. A few months ago, he regurgitated his first meal. Since then, he refused to take any food. There are 2-3 times where he willingly took food but would regurgitate. The same thing happened a few nights ago. With a little persuation and egg scenting, he took a pink on his own but regurg after a day or two. He is looking really bad, still somewhat active, but lots of "loose skin".
He is kept on aspen. There is a hide and fresh water in his tub. Warm side is 80-85, Cool side is Mid 70's. I have never force fed him.
What would you guys do? liquid diet for a while? Grape fruit extract in drinking water (read this somewhere)? Appetite stimulant (liquid supplement by Zilla? Any advice or input will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Kenny
