I live in the city. Cats are a big problem here. One of my neighbors is very irresponsible when it comes to producing multiple generations of feral cats every year. I usually trap 2 or 3 a year that just won't stay off my property and won't quit spraying, bullying my cat, and eating my cat's food. I take them to the pound. I've neutered them before and kept them, too. The cat I have now was a trapped and spayed feral.
They do spread disease among the cat population as well as to other animals. They do do damage to the local wildlife. I've seen them kill frogs, lizards, snakes in my yard.

I live in Miami. I counted one day at 6am on way to work within 4 blocks 22 cats out by street. Adult cats not a mother with kittens.
