I wish I would have seen it myself personally, but Nigel and ALL the other's are all about what makes so-called "good" viewing/entertainment. Shock value seems to be the only thing people are interested in. He figured why would I just have this thing sit in my lap and be "boring" to the crowd, when I can get it to scratch the hell outa' me and get the audience gasping in awe and excitement?
Unless it's soley a pure documentary of some kind, reptiles and TV usually don't go well together. After all, there's really only two kinds of shows,....REAL(not reality), and so-called entertainment(which so-called "reality" falls into)........oh!, and wrestling too..LOL!
