I wasn't being insulting or disrespectful. I suggest you stop being so defensive.
It is a fact early America was primarily settled by Christian Anglo Europeans. The Martin Luther's of the day. And they settled heavily in Wisconsin.
Then came the Irish, the Italians, the Poles, the Czechs, the the Chinese, the Mexican and Central Americans.
Mostly Catholic Christians, with the exception of the Chinese. Not welcomed by the prevailing Christian denomination at the time, the Protestants.
Still the prevailing religion in Wisconsin. Still resistant to new philosophies.
