Derek,
Unfortunately, there's not really anything to see within an hours drive of SE Ohio. Additionally, unless you're herping...not really much to see in SE Ohio period. However, if you want to go herping...if you find the right spots, you might get lucky enough to come across some C. horridus or A. controtrix. Also, they have C. constrictor, and various other herps. Definitely one of the best places to be in terms of field work due to it's diversity. In all honesty, for herps, there are only a couple zoos even worth visiting in Ohio...ALL of which are greater than an hour drive for you. I would recommend Kentucky Reptile Zoo if you were able to drive a little further as well.
Beyond that, sorry bud. Not much in this crappy state as far as herps are concerned.

>>I am in Ohio for a few days for the first time. Since I am not familiar with the area, wondered if some of you guys could recommend some reptile-centric places to visit (stores, attractions, etc). I am staying in the Steubenville area (SE Ohio) and probably don't want to travel more than an hour or so. That excludes the Cincinnati Zoo, but will make that up next time. Unfortunately, can't seem to find even a small show to attend while up here this weekend. Thanks for any help you can give me. >> >>Derek ----- My Website www.herpfanatic.com
