I feel if a breeder keeps good records of what they are breeding to what, they could eliminate most issues like this.
I only breed co-dom males to normal females. Recessive males get hets or poss hets. Once I feel a poss het is proven normal she then can be put with the co-dom males as a normal. The first year she goes in with a co-dom, she is breed to a super. If she throws a “normal” that year, then I can refer to my records for that females breeding history and have an educated guess as to what that baby could be. YET I still would never sell that baby as a het or poss het. Either I would hold “her” back or it would be included with the normals being sold to pet shops.
Everyone has there own methods but this is what I do just so I can sleep well at night knowing that I sold a 100% het.
