Since pinks and fuzzies aren't really a physical threat, try leaving one in the enclosure overnight. You may wake up to find that it isn't there anymore. Some snakes are shy when it comes to feeding, especially hatchlings. And you can definitely move up one size, try a hopper, they're more exciting anyway!
