I was anxious to produce some Super Pastel Calicos this year because I knew they would be powerful breeders toward future production of Pastel Calicos (which I love)... but honestly I did not think I would like the looks of the Super Pastel Calicos as much - WOW, was I ever wrong! There is something about the combination of these two genes that makes crazy stuff happen. I've produced three Super Pastel Calicos so far this season and all three have an even more aberrant pattern than the Pastel Calicos, which have a more aberrant pattern than the Calicos. In the photo are a Super Pastel Calico, a Super Pastel, a Pastel Calico, and Calico - all from the same clutch. | ||
