This just doesn't jive with me. This latest story for instance, did the guy have the ROC permit? Was the snake being housed in an escape proof/acceptable cage? The answer to both is NO. We have these laws on the books for a reason and if the proper authorities would enforce the ones we have now, there would be no need for any further laws. However, it has gone on for long enough now that the inevitable is going to happen, an all out ban on the ROC. If the FWC was notified of the albino burm that killed the little girl and they would have seized the animal and charged the man with not having the permits, she would still be alive and the massive outcry over the last few months wouldn't have happened. if other keepers would start turning in those that don't have a permit, we would all be in a better place. show the legislators that we can police ourselves. | ||
