So I was in an exotic store today (I've been going there all my life) to get some crickets. The store is great and always has really knowledgeable, helpful staff, as well as some amazing animals to look at.

I was checking out, when some customers behind me remarked at how "scary" looking the store's juvenile African rock python was. The cashier told them that "the African rock python is the only snake in the world that gets big enough to eat a human".

Keep in mind this store had hatchling and baby retics in stock, and yet he still said that.

Am I missing something here? Do rock pythons get as big (or bigger) than retics, or was he just misinformed?
