Posted by: varanid at Tue Sep 22 08:29:36 2009 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by varanid ] Maybe look at some of the larger colubrids--beauty snakes , bullsnakes or the common rat snake (E. obsolete ssps) all get decent sized. They're not as stout as a BP but they do get longer, and I think all would be fine in a 55 gallon tank. There's some of the larger kingsnake subspecies too--eastern kings can get big (6' ish). Andean milksnakes would also fit the bill. You might also consider beak nosed snakes; they're seasonally available as imports and seem to do well. | ||
