n/p or just np means "no post". People put that in the subject line of a message when they only have one or two words to say and the entire message can be fit in the subject. It tells you not to open that message because it will waste your time.



Doug said, "Ditto that n/p". Ditto is a slang word meaning "I agree and would have said the same thing". If "Ditto" is all Doug wanted to say, there is no need to type a message since it fits entirely in the subject line.
