I do agree with you that it costs a significant amount for shipping but I think it can still be very cost effective. For my five snakes I will order a full box which on average will last me 8-10 months (this is obviously depending if you have the freezer space available for that many rodents) but when looking at my last order I spent $1.05 per rat for 60 medium & small rats and $.38 per mouse for 75 xl adult and weanling sized mice. When compared to the $4 per rat that the local pet shops would charge or the $2 per mouse, you can start to see how this ends up to be some significant savings. Anyway, sorry to ramble
