State Rep. Joe Farias is having his campaign kick off Tomorrow Monday September 28, 2009, 5-7 PM @ Pico de Gallo Restaurant, 111 S Leona St., San Antonio, TX 78207. Rep Joe Farias along with some other Reps and Senators are going to sponsor legislation for HCU and other herp societies. Rep. Farias has actually been herping this year in the Trans-Pecos and knows the truth about what we do. We need to do our part to help him in his bid for office. If you can, please make the event tomorrow, introduce yourself and donate a couple of dollars on behalf of HCU or whatever herp society that you are a member of. If you cannot make it, send him an email expressing your support, send a few dollars or offer a few hours of your time. We need his help as much as he needs ours. Hope you guys can make it.



Rep Tracy King's Kick off is coming up. I will post that date and time as well when we get the invite. We all know how much work Rep. King has done on our behalf.



third, we will be gathering info on any efforts Sen. Uresti needs and posting it as well. Sen. Uresti is in our corner so we need to do our part for him too.



Lastly, if you care about herping in Texas or someday wish to take your kids without the harassment, contact your local state rep or senator, talk with him and get a feel if they are receptive to Texas herping. If so, post it on the various forums so we can support them as well.
