Any light that plugs in can be used on a timer, doesn't matter if it's incandescent. I don't use any artificial lights for my snakes. There are a few lights that are on in the room for other animals, which I try to remember to turn off at sundown-aside from that, i let the sun set the photoperiod. ----- Snakes:
