I have seen maybe a dozen eastern milks in my life; all were in the wild. I'd seem them on rural roads while running. I only lived within their range for a year or so. None were green; most were typical brown, a couple were more reddish. My recollection, and that is all I have, is that the the brown saddles ranged from dark brown to sort of lighter greyish brown, like the one in your picture. Then again, if I were a "scientist", perhaps my observational skills would have been better. | ||
