Interesting, and I've never heard that. Unfortunately, he is the one that has had diarrhea for years (and no he never drinks the water in the tub. That was not the problem), and will poop and then lay in it. Only recently have we been able to get it under control, and the baths help him not to poo and sit in it (he always goes in the tub), and have been necessary to keep him relatively clean.
As long as he has not been sitting in it, I may try just putting him in the dry tub to get him to go, and so that I can clean his cage. Thanks for the tip.
