These are not Paradox ... Sharon is correct in calling them "Freak" boas. They only come from the Snow boa projects ... I have only heard of them coming from DHet females.



I believe Ralph Davis produced the 1st (a female) ... I don't think he has bred it to anything to test the genetics.



I produced (and I still have him) a male in 2005 ... he looks very similar to Sharon's males, but no pink ... pretty much a completely light-colored head with no markings (makes him look kinda "Freaky".



I am sure there are others around because I have seen pics of some in Canada, as well as, pics from another breeder whose animals I believe have some Hypo (or even Hogg) bloodlines in them (hence, I do not consider these Freaks)



Someone else will have to explain exactly what a Paradox is. I know the original Paradox boas had random black specks, but over the years the Paradox have taken on a more "calico" look. But I don't know that they come from any Snow boa breeding projects.



Anyways, this is my simple take on the difference between a Paradox and a Freak ... I don't know if anyone has really attempted to explain this, but I often see comments on the forums that confuse the 2 visual appearances.



Since I had a baby picture of my Freak available, I went ahead and included it ... he does look considerably different now (4 years later) as his pattern opened up and his head became whiter.
