I loves my house snake  I've got a female right now, WC import subadult, common brown. and she just demolishes mice usually (although she didn't eat this week, which is a first). I'd put her feeding response as more aggressive than my retics. She was the first colubrid I've kept since...2005 ? And the first baby colubrid I've had in many years, since like 98. Very pretty, neat eyes, and man oh man do they eat! It's like a reticulated python in attitude and feeding, but they're 1/10000th the size (300 grams vs 100 kilos)
I'm getting some more from Cherry this year too Hope to breed her next year, I love these guys. Can't believe I missed out all these years. She's grown pretty fast, even with a fairly steady feeding regime of one mouse every 5 days. She's maybe 2' now? Should be ready to breed in another 6-8 months. I got her she was maybe 15" long.
